COVID-19: Swanton Morley Fishery will reopen on Monday 18 May 2020

- No Day Tickets, No Public Access.
- Access will be limited to existing DDAC members.
- Individuals with COVID-19 symptoms are prohibited from the fishery.


Anglers MUST:

- Comply with Social Distancing Ruling
- Fish alternate swims not adjacent swims
- Place Membership Card(s) in car windscreen
- Obey bailiff’s requests and / or instructions
- Bring and use own hand sanitiser and keep facilities clean
- Stay no longer than 72 Hrs Maximum.


NOTE: Bans will be imposed for cleanliness failures

Welcome

Dereham and District Angling Club is an open club, set in the heart of rural Norfolk offering "traditional" angling in its mixed species fisheries to local and visiting anglers alike.

Established for over 60 years, the club welcomes members of all ages and abilities, whether an absolute novice or an established professional, we are more than happy to accomodate your angling needs.

Primarily a coarse angling club, we also have a small sea angling section, however there is currently no game angling facilities.

We hope you enjoy looking around our site and find it of interest. We would like to wish each and every one of you 'tight lines'.

We ask every visitor to our fisheries to pay particular care to the way in which you treat other anglers, the environment and inparticular the welfare of the fish and other forms of wildlife.

We take great pride in being a family friendly club, accessible and welcoming to people of all ages, please help us to stay that way.

Navigating This Site

The menu to the left covers general areas related to the currently selected form of angling. This menu will vary depending on which mode of fishing you have selected at the top of the page.

The menu to the right will be consistent across all forms of angling, and covers specific rules and regulations of the club, ways to get more involved and various other more administrative areas.

Notice

All fish caught from Dereham and District Angling Club waters must be returned to the water from which it was caught. Prosecutions will be persued against anyone breaking this regulation.

Individual Lake Closure Dates

Scheduled water closures for whole month:

February: Willow lake closed
March: Grebe lake closed
April: Curly's lake closed

Work party attendees permitted to fish closed waters when work not taking place and must have Work Party Stamp in their current Membership Booklet.

Working parties are scheduled on the following dates, please do come along and help out. Fishery will be closed to angling on these dates and times and more information can be found on the Get Involved page.

Other Closures

Following advice from the Ornithological Trust to cull some geese, plus the possibility of culling some cormorants, killing rats and mink, Swanton Morley Fishery may be closed on a few evenings to allow strictly controlled pest control shoots. Notice of exact dates will be displayed in Myhill's shop, on the Fishery notice board, and on this web site. Few shoots / closures are expected, but members consideration is requested.

Swanton Morley Fishery will have limited section or water closures during the season for club matches. See fixture list supplied with membership card for full details, or view fixture lists on this site. The fishery may also close some water due to external bookings. Few are expected and notices will be displayed on the notice board at the gateway to the fishery should any occur.
